TaiwanJapan Exchange & Aging Tech Industry Linkage

✨Accelerating innovation and connecting the future! A joint delegation from Ming Chi University of Technology and Chang Gung University of Science and Technology, led by the Aging Smart Healthcare Accelerator, visited Osaka, Japan to explore innovation in elderly care services🚄💡

The exchange focused on three key areas: Assistive Technology, Educational Innovation, and Elderly Services. Through this journey, we gained valuable insight into Japan’s aging industry landscape and local innovation practices, engaging in meaningful collaboration with three leading organizations🤝:

1️⃣ Osaka Prefectural Social Welfare Hall & Shofuku-kai (Assistive Tech Center)

➡️ Investigating user-centered assistive device design, combining smart technologies to build safer and friendlier environments for the elderly🛠️👵🏻🧓🏻

2️⃣ EMBA TECH (教育テック大学院大学)

➡️ Exploring the fusion of education and technology, with future plans to co-develop interdisciplinary curricula and nurture talent for the aging tech industry🎓🤖

3️⃣ Kansai Elderly Services Association

➡️ Signing a collaborative agreement to launch cross-border social innovation initiatives, exploring shared economy models, mutual aid systems, and real-world pilot testing🏘️🧩 🌏Looking ahead, Ming Chi University of Technology and Chang Gung University of Science and Technology will co-develop the “Taiwan-Japan Aging Innovation Co-Creation Platform”, promoting startup collaboration, joint R&D, and pilot programs to shape a more inclusive aging society🚀
