We're committed to nurturing the next generation of innovators. Our programs offer courses and seminars on innovation, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property to equip students and emerging startups with essential knowledge and skills. By bridging theory with practice, we aim to boost the success rate of new ventures. Subsidy Program for Student Participation in Creative Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competitions

Guidelines for the Incubation of Faculty and Student Startups at the Innovation & Incubation Center

Objectives

To encourage students in transforming their creativity and technical products into viable businesses and foster entrepreneurial skills by encouraging participation in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions.

To encourage faculty and students to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions or projects and to establish startups based on their research-related technologies or patents.

Eligible Applicant

Currently enrolled as students at MCUT.

Faculty, staff, and students at MCUT.

Application Process

Students must complete the "Subsidy Application Form for Participation in Creative Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competitions" (see attachment for the form) and submit it to the Innovation & Incubation Center. Applications will no longer be accepted once the annual budget is exhausted.

(1)Applicants must prepare the following documents and submit them to the Innovation & Incubation Center (see attachment for the form):

  • Faculty and Student Startup Plan Application Form

  • Incubation Agreement

(2)The applications will be reviewed by the Innovation & Incubation Center Committee or, if needed, by inviting internal and external experts for professional assessment.

Ministry of Education's University and College Entrepreneurship Simulation Learning Platform

This platform acts as a trial field for nurturing entrepreneurial spirit on campus, helping to create the first prototype for entrepreneurial ideas, seamlessly connecting with crowdfunding platforms. Selected teams can receive a maker fund of up to NTD 100,000 (NT$1 million).

U-start Plan for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

This program aims to enhance the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in universities, encouraging institutions to improve campus entrepreneurial environments, integrating school incubation resources to provide experimental fields and resources for youth entrepreneurship. The program is divided into two application stages: Stage 1 offers a maximum subsidy of NTD 500,000 for entrepreneurship service plans, and Stage 2 evaluates outstanding entrepreneurial teams for a maximum subsidy of NTD 1,000,000 (NT$1 million).

National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

Since 2006, this national cross-school competition has been one of the largest regular student entrepreneurship competitions in Taiwan, continually inspiring youth creativity, fostering entrepreneurial skills and teamwork, and applying theoretical knowledge to entrepreneurship.
