National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) is committed to fostering innovation and supporting entrepreneurial efforts, thus creating a favorable environment for entrepreneurship. To develop an international ecosystem for cultivating innovation and entrepreneurship talent and further promote Taiwan as a destination for outstanding foreign entrepreneurs and professionals, Taiwan Tech Innovation Incubator (Tii) has planned and launched the “Global Talent Entrepreneurship Program” (GTEP, hereinafter referred to as “the Program”) starting in 2022. Designed primarily for foreign students in Taiwan, the Program provides professional entrepreneurship training courses and a platform for publishing results, with the goal of nurturing high-caliber foreign entrepreneurial teams. twenty-three teams have successfully completed the training to date. The Program will be expanded in 2024 to invite outstanding young entrepreneurial teams from NTUST’s international sister schools and partner incubators to Taiwan to compete in the Demo Day International Competition. In 2026, GTEP-selected teams will compete against these international entrepreneurial teams, with the aim of stimulating diverse innovative thinking through mutual exchanges, promoting creative sparks from diverse cultural backgrounds, and further enhancing the sophistication and internationalization of Taiwan’s overall entrepreneurial ecosystem.
