I. Selection Criteria

The Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs is now launching the "Hi-Po Star" selection process. Please note that this selection operates on a recommendation-only basis.

• Eligibility: Startups must meet the "Standards for Identifying Small and Medium Enterprises" and have been established after May 1, 2021.

• Categories:

  1. Deep Tech (Black Tech)

  2. Consumer Tech (White Tech)

  3. Green Tech (Green Tech)

II. Recommendation Process

Please assist in recommending high-quality startups from your network. Interested units should email the recommendation form and selection guidelines (attached) to the executing agency by April 10, 2026. Formal official letters are not required. Following the recommendation, the executing agency will invite the nominated startups to complete the registration process.
